Using Drupal profile values to generate tags, etc

I was wondering how I can make use of the profile values I've required for Drupal registered users to auto-create tags or groups in CiviCRM. Is there any way to connect profile values to the contact records?

Also, I'm using logintoboggan, and when I synch my Drupal users I get their emails in the name field instead of their user names. Is this normal, and what option do I have? Can I change the Drupal registration form so that it collects the data I need for CiviCRM?

Not sure what profile values you are talking about, but I suspect you are talking about the Drupal Profile Module

You might want to read about CiviCRM Profiles and use that to link with registration. More details at:
