Civicrm/civievent will not show registrants as registered - all are pending

My site - www.athleteinyou.com.  We are using CiviCrm/CiviEvent for online race registration.  I am encountering a problem with paid participants.
When somebody registers they don't show up as being registered, they stay in a pending status.  How do they transfer over to registered?
We are also using google checkout, google will show the individual as paid and sends out confirmation receipt.  Our software is drupal, and SSL is through Comodo.
When we list a free event there is no problem with registrants being listed as registered.  It's only with paid participants.  Is there a compatiblility problem with google checkout, or drupal software?
Can CiviEvent handle numerous event listings at the same time?

yes, civievent can handle multiple listings at the same time

you need to ensure that you have set the right url with google checkout:
