CiviEvent -- event income summary?
February 09, 2009, 12:42:22 pm
I've looked around a bunch and checked the documentation, and can't seem to find any way to generate a summary of income for an event.  Is there something I've overlooked?

Thanks!

You're starting to make me wish I had more occasions to use CiviCRM, and actually implement the solutions to all these problems, so I could share them!

On a slightly different topic, would it be a useful contribution to share my general impressions of the CRM, and maybe some constructive criticism?

There is a custom search available in 2.2 (and I think in 2.1) which does aggregate fees by event. The data on the 2.2 sandbox is not too useful - but you can see the search form there:

http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search/custom?csid=7&reset=1

... or try it from the Find Contacts sub-menu on your own install.

Note that it "counts" revenue based on contribution records associated w/ participant records - so you need to use the "Record Payment" feature when recording participant registrations (for offline registrations).

yes, feedback and constructive criticism is fine :) Code  to address the shortcomings would be even better :) Please post them on the appropriate forums
