Sometimes after creating a Custom Data Group and assigning it to a particular type of record, I realize that I actually need to use the Custom Data Group for a different type of record as well. However, since you can't change the "Used for" value after creating a Custom Data Group, my only recourse is to delete the entire Custom Data Group and start from scratch. That can be quite painful if I've already added fields to the group, especially because you can't delete a group until you delete every field within it.

So this is actually two requests:

• Allow changes to the "Used for" value for Custom Data Groups, and
• Allow Custom Data Groups to be deleted with fields still in them, OR provide an easy way for mass deletion of fields (checkboxes and a "Delete checked" button perhaps?)

I only intended to point jackaponte to the "official" location for feature requests.

we prefer that most feature requests and suggestions to be on the forums, unless we plan on implementing them in the short/medium term (in which case we ask for an issue to be filed). if the person is contributing a feature, than an issue along with a patch is more than welcome

we have way more feature requests and suggestions than we can possibly implement.
