CiviCRM 2.2beta Joomla 1.5.9 Import limits and workaround
February 10, 2009, 01:16:49 pm
Our non-profit org has over 255,000 contacts. We are currently up and running on CiviCRM 1.8. We have a good install of the 2.2 Joomla (1.5.9) on a Bluehost shared server. We are trying to migrate our data from 1.8 Drupal to 2.2 Joomla. First pass at the "Import" feature and I see that it is limited to an 8M upload. Our csv file is over 380M. Just out of curiosity I tried the Joomla "Import" component and it has been crunching with NO movement from step 1 to step 2 for over an hour. Is this a futile exercise?

Is there a suggested work around using MYphp admin tools at Bluehost (Export/Import) for a file this large? How do you suggest we go about this? Can I import a single table at a time, we have over 114 tables?

Thanks,
actsacts
