Attachments Missing
February 11, 2009, 12:30:18 pm
I just realized that I don't have the attachments section whenever I try to send an email in civicrm or use civimail. I am on CiviCRM 2.1.4. Attached is a screenshot of what I see when sending an email to a contact (the bottom of the page where the attachments should be).

Am I missing a configuration option or something related to this? Otherwise, ideas on how I can bring it out of the darkness?

is it just ironic that there was no screenshot attached?

hi emilyf

make sure you have specified number of attachments. ( default is 3 )
To specify go to : Administer CiviCRM -> Global Settings -> Miscellaneous Settings. -> Maximum Attachments.

yup, forgot attachment. but thanks kiran; that did it.

Do you know if that is supposed to be set to 3 by default? I have another install that was a 2.1 new install rather than a upgrade and on that clean install the attachments showed by default. on my upgrade i had to go into miscellaneous settings like you suggested to get them to show up. just wondering which is the 'normal' behavior?

We might have missed this during 2.0.x to v2.1 upgrade. So i guess you will have to set it manually.
