Link between Organization and Contribution page
February 11, 2009, 01:34:56 pm
Hi,

I'm trying to know if CiviCRM makes it possible to link a contribution page and an organization. Does someone knows about that ?

Thanks.

We probably need more details about what "link organization an contribution page" means for you.

We want to know if it is possible to use CiviCRM for several Organization. The needs are :
  • a contribution page for each organization. This page must be customised (with CSS) for each organization.
  • each organization must have an account to view contributions

So we want to link organizations and contribution pages to be able to customize the template of the contribution page with the CSS created for the organization.

You can make as many different contribution pages as you need on a single CiviCRM install.

You can customize the look and feel of each page individually:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customize+Built-in%2C+Profile%2C+Contribution+and+Event+Registration+Screens

In the upcoming version (2.2 - now in beta) you can supply your own version of the many CiviCRM CSS file - and add styles particular to each page in that customized CSS file.

Contributions and contributors can be easily "searched" based on the contribution page they came from. However, if you want to limit access to viewing contributors / contributions such that each organization can only see 'their own' - that may take some experimenting. I think you can do this using Group-based ACL's, along with the Profile -> add to group feature. Basically, each contributor would be put in a group of contacts "belonging" to that organization when they make a contribution from a given contribution page. However, I suspect there will be some issues to work thru if this is a requirement - and you may need to do some coding using ACL hooks.
