Page Messages.
February 12, 2009, 01:20:03 pm
Hi,

Can someone point me to where I would find messages that are displayed on pages?

i.e When someone subscribes to a mailing list you see the following message at the top of the page:
Quote
Your subscription request has been submitted. Check your inbox shortly for the confirmation email(s).

I'd like to modify that by adding:
Quote
If you don't see the email please check you spam/junk mail folder.

BTW I'm using the drupal CiviCRM module.

Thanks.

This is a helpful addition to that message - i've added it to the 2.2 version of that file (will be part of next beta release).

That's cool!
I'm glad my post was helpful.
Would you ever consider making those types of messages CMS items that can be edited, instead of having to modify a php template?

Probably not since we have a common codebase that needs to run in 2 different CMS's as well as standalone. I can imagine us centralizing status messages a bit better at some point in a way that makes changes easier (but note that you can accomplish this w/ the translation engine right now - all strings are potentially translateable).
