Problems with anonymous user being able to configure events
February 16, 2009, 05:23:42 pm
I would like anonymous visitors to be able to see event info and register for events.  Obviously, I do not want them to be able to make any changes!  When I visit http://www.maydog.org/park/civicrm/event?reset=1 as an anonymous visitor, there is a Configure link next to each event and people can make changes.  If I uncheck "Access CiviEvent" for anonymous users in the permissions section, anonymous visitors are not able to view the events page at that link (even if I leave "register for events" checked off for anonymous).  I do NOT have Administer CiviCRM checked for anonymous users.

When I look at http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/event?reset=1, logged in as demo, I do not see a Configure Event link next to any of the existing events.

Does anyone have any ideas for me on what permissions I should be using?

Hi,

If you want to display the event info of all Events
you can use  http://www.maydog.org/park/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1&html=1
It will show all upcoming events.
and uncheck "access CiviEvent" for Anonymous User in the permissions section
