Multi-site installation instructions outdated?
February 17, 2009, 07:50:34 am
I have a Drupal 6.9 multi-site installation in one DB with prefixes (two websites in total).
I downloaded CiviCRM 2.2 beta1 and tried to install in the same database. Installation on the default site worked excellent.

Now I try to follow these instructions http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMUPCOMING/CiviCRM+for+Drupal+-+Configure+Multi-site+Installations to get it working for my second website, all in one database. But I can't find the <drupal_root>/modules/civicrm/sql/civicrm_add_domain.mysql file anywhere, and I also can't find the CIVICRM_DOMAIN_ID part in the civicrm.settings.php file in the default folder.
In CiviCRM 2.1.4 I can't find <drupal_root>/modules/civicrm/sql/civicrm_add_domain.mysql either.

Are these instructions outdated? I understand the concept, I just can't find the mentioned files. How can I achieve what the instructions describe, namely two CiviCRM-installations (same versions) in one Drupal multi-site database?

Yes instructions are outdated. There is no concept of domain_id. We will update instructions in next few days. (or delete the page)

You might want to check forum for "Multi-Site" installation.

I searched the forum for "Multi-site". I now have a copy of civicrm.settings.php in my subsite folder, but the CiviCRM is one and the same on both sites.
I would like to have two different CiviCRM's, operating apart from each other. Is this still possible in 2.2 or 2.1?
