No of registrations not showing on summary dashboard
February 19, 2009, 02:04:09 pm
Hi,
I'm having the total number of registered participants showing 0 even though there are registered participants. This happens only for a few events and seems to happen after the number of registered participants reach around 30. Any inputs?

I'm also having one more small problem where a participant paid using Paypal as gateway and her contact info has been recorded when I searched for the name but this user is not shown as registered for the event. This is really strange problem for my install. I really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Can you check the status of Registered Participants and make sure it's not pending.
Demo is seems to be working fine: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event?reset=1

I just set it up so there is a separate group called "2009 registrants" or whatever.  Then made it so all registrants were automatically put in this group.  My event participants still reads zero, but it works.

Are you using Add to Group feature of Profile ? If yes, then contacts are added directly to this group without checking their status.

So check the participant status for event. May be status is pending, hence count is zero.

Thanks for the replies.

Even for the events which it is showing 0 registrations currently, it used to show proper numbers just like in http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event?reset=1 until the no of participants came somewhere near 28 to 30 after which it started showing 0. In my install it shows the count of registrations correctly when it is just 10 or 15 even now. Only for events where the no of registrations exceed a certain value it shows 0.

By pending do you mean participants who have checked the pay later option? We have not enabled pay later option for these events. They all show up as registered in their individual records.

In this case the participant's info was in the contacts. When I went to the events tab, there was no event showing for the participant. Strangely even the participant's payment wasn't seen in the contributions. We added them in manually

I tried to duplicate it on the demo server for joomla but it runs fine on the sandbox. I was able to register 40 people and i'm still seeing the no. of registrations correctly on the summary page. strange.

http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event&reset=1

Thanks

I have the exact same problem.

If you go to the CiviEvent Summary it shows 0 Participants and has no link to the participant list on a select few events, but when I either, look at the participant list from the configure page, or do a find participants search, I get some people who have signed up.

I'm on 2.2.5 on Joomla 1.5.10 with 1.0 compatability turned on.

One possible clue, my volunteer coordinator wanted to see all the events on that page, so in the BAO/Events.php I set the limit to 50 for the event query. The only change I made was changing the upper limit on the summary query.

AH-HA! Fixed it.

If you change the limit in GetEventSummary in the civicrm/CRM/Event/BAO/Event.php you should also change the limit in GetParticipantCount!
