building a care community

Can somebody help me out here.   :)

I am building a terminalcare community  http://www.terminalcare.net/
Where 2 groups of people meet
1. People who want to give help
2. people who are asking for help

Every member of the 2 groups can either communicate through e.mail and blogs,
and  can meet each other in the real life (physically in their home town)

I did try this before with classified ads module (drupal) where People of both groups can place an advertisement.
But does CiviCRM give more  communication possibilities between members ?
And is it possible for members to have there own kind of "home - individual page" where they can advertise there self: Whatever they are asking for help or giving help.

I made my decision's:
Civicrm is really beautiful but a overkill for me (I mean to difficult to install).
I stick with Drupal core.

sorry
