We would like to Personalize the automatic e-mail receipts when a contribution is inputted(off-line). I went through all the post but could not find any answers. I tried using the mailing tokens but that seems to only work for CiviMail. I would like to think most people are personalizing the template one way or the other.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

We expose a certain number of values to the template. You can personalize the email using those values:

However the token system does not work there. If you'd like to see that happen, please consider making a code contribution and/or sponsoring the feature
