How can I find contacts with an empty email address field?
We'd like to do a printed mailing to the people in our database for which we don't have email addresses. I can't see any obvious way of doing this within Advanced Search, although I'm probably missing something obvious :-)

You could use Search Builder http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search/builder?reset=1

Include contacts where
Contact Type "Email" "IS NULL"

I tried that but got:
No matches found for:
Email = null ... AND ...
Contact Type - 'Individual'

I notice you said to select Email IS NULL rather than Equals null, but in my search builder operator drop down "IS" isn't an option (only < > = != IN LIKE). Not sure if that's related?

BTW I'm using CiviCRM 2.0.7
