Paypal pro error - HTTP:curl_exec error 7 socket error: 110
July 20, 2007, 06:37:47 pm
Trying to test my civiContribute page and am getting the following error:

Payment Processor Error message:
HTTP:curl_exec error 7 socket error: 110

I'm fairly certain I have everything set up properly...has anyone seen this???

I do have a general question about setup, though...do all the payment processor fields need to be set up in both civicrm.settings.php files (in components and administrator/components)? I did it, but I'm not sure if it needs to be in each.

Also, what should the file permissions be on those files.

Thanks for your help!

1. you might want to do a web search for that error along with paypal pro. that is a web server / paypal config error. I've seen this before, but forgotten what/why/where etc

2. yes, if you are exposing the contribution page to the front end, you will need it in both places. We have moved these fields to the database in v1.8 and will simplify things a wee bit. They are normal config files and should be readable by the webserver
