I am getting the following error message when performing a number of tasks in CiviCRM and Drupal.  The message is clear but when I asked my Hosting provider to increase the max_allowed_packet size they declined to do so.  This issue has only arisen in the past week or so and I have had Drupal and CivCRM working harmoniously for a number of months prior to seeing this error.

This leads me to think that the passage of time has caused a volume issue but I just don't know where to look.  If anyone has a suggestion I would really appreciate it.
