No dropdown on country & state fields
March 01, 2009, 07:38:17 am
hi! hoping someone can help with this.

the dropdown options have disappeared from the 'edit contact' screen (under primary location), and civicrm now appears to be interpreting locations not as text, but rather as numbers (e.g. United States = 1228). imported contacts have now had their states reinterpreted - when we open a contact profile for someone whose address should be listed as Michigan, the numerical equivalent civicrm has substituted is 2000 - which actually seems to be somewhere in the former Soviet Union, and is in conflict with the country that is entered on the record.

we believe this is connected to a setting we've changed somewhere, but are so far having no luck chasing it down. it wasn't present when we first installed. any ideas?

thank you! i would like to blame not checking that on lack of sleep, but i'm not sure it would have occurred to me in any case.

we put our civicrm install behind ssl, which changed the resource url, so that was the problem.

so relieved that it was relatively simple, and so thankful that you answered!
