RSS events filter
March 02, 2009, 02:59:26 pm
I am trying to generate events and RSS feeds to events with sub-categories.

I know that I can use a custom RSS feed by event type like:

 /index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&rss=1&type=3

But I need an additional filter for sub-groups of an event type.

For example if we set up event types like:
  • HARDWARE WORKSHOPS
  • SOFTWARE WORKSHOPS
  • PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS

We can set up our RSS feeds for each of them... but how can we generate a separate RSS feed for the PHP WORKSHOPS and one for the MYSQL WORKSHOPS if we want them to be in the same group as PROGRAMMING WORKSHOPS?

Is there a way to add a filter with part of the title? Can we use something like a partial event description on the rss link

/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&rss=1&type=3&event=MYSQL*
