Changing hosting providers for CiviCRM 1.9 causing redirect on Civi images.
March 04, 2009, 12:10:14 am
I've moved our Drupal/CiviCRM install from a grid container at MediaTemple to a VPS at SliceHost. Everything seems to be working with the exception of some parts of Civi. When you try to view a CiviEvent item or even load one of the required Civi images (/civicrm/i/contact_ind.gif), you get redirected to /civicrm/dashboard?reset=1

I'm a bit befuddled as to why this is occurring. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Do other images/CSS/JavaScript load properly? The first thing would be to check the resource URL in your CiviCRM settings.

Is the resource URL stored in the config_backend record? Technically, while the base directory path has changed the URL hasn't.

Thank you in advance.

Is the resource URL stored in the config_backend record?

Yes, and you can set it via Administer CiviCRM. You can set there both the URL and the file locations; apart from that, you might also want to check the value of $civicrm_root in your civicrm.settings.php file.

Please also update your forum profile with the CiviCRM and CMS versions that you’re running.

Thank you all for your help. Clearing the config_back_end field in the civicrm_domain table corrected the issue.
