User Registration Profile not displaying all fields
March 04, 2009, 12:15:05 pm
I've created two user registration profiles consisting of 6 fields and 5 fields respectively. The first uses field type "Individual" and the second uses field type "Contact." When a user goes to the registration page, only 2 fields from Individual and 3 fields from contact are displayed. The Individual profile uses some custom fields (all of type Individual), while the contact profile uses standard CiviCRM contact fields. The attached screenshots illustrate the problem for the Individual type. Thank you.

What is the Profile set to be 'used for'? Have you set it to be "View/Edit User Account"

I have it set for "User Registration." I just now added the "View/Edit User Account" option but that doesn't seem to have any affect.

Sorry - I realise you were saying you were using this for Registrations. Are you looking at this as Admin or some other Role - are your Drupal permissions set to 'access all custom data"?

aha! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction regarding permissions.

I was accessing the registration form anonymously. Setting the permissions for this role did the trick on the first profile. The second profile, "Contact Information" still only displays phone numbers. I'm also expecting to also see fields for Email (Primary) and Email (Other). I realize that primary email is already collected via drupal registration so I probably don't need to collect that here but I would like to collect the secondary email. Either way, the email fields aren't custom data.

I'm pretty sure the use case of wanting to include Secondary Email within the Drupal User Registration context is not supported (w/o some code hacks). We suppress Email fields from profiles when they are part of the Drupal User Reg and My Account contexts - rationale being that Drupal already collects email.

An alternative that could work is for you to enable Create CMS User in the Profile's Settings (Advanced tab) - and direct folks to that profile directly for user registration (e.g. http://....civicrm/profile/create?gid=X&reset=1 where X is the profile ID).
