Author Topic: event rss feed not displaying events to Joomla 1.5.9 front end (Read 2961 times)

I have configured this fine with 2.1. not sure what I am missing here. I created the event and made it public. I copied the rss feed for all events from CiviEvents page and pasted that in the rss feed url. The same steps are working fine on a 2.1 instance I am running. I get the feed title displayed but no events.

Seems to be working fine on joomla demo, http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&rss=1

Can you check if events are displayed when you are logged in.

I should not have posted this issue. It displays the event fine when viewed from the RSS feed link within CiviEvent. It must be something I am doing wrong with the feed extensions I have tried within Joomla. It's just odd since everything else appears to be the same. Thanks - Owen

Testing the demo environment feed it displays fine on my site. When I compare it's url to the feed url generated by my site I noticed that mine includes the administrator folder in it's path -

http://mydomain.com/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&rss=1

By removing /administrator from the url it works fine. Maybe I have forgotten the step of removing the /administrator from the path. Posting this if it helps someone else.
