Can I change a contribution/member type from one individual to another

I have a situation where a father has paid a subscription for his membership type and has then recorded contribution/member type for his son against the father's name.  Therefore I have the father with two member types when one belongs to the son (Hmmm - I'm not explaining this very well).

I want to move a contibution and member typr from one individual to another.  Can someone let me knmow how I might be able to do this?

In my experience I would say it's not possible to do this kind of transfer from the user interface. The cleanest solution would be to remove the membership and contribution from the father and process it manaully under the son.

That makes sense.  I thought there might be some form of 'journal' process which I hadn't found.

I'll do as you suggest.
