CiviCRM and Google Summer of Code 2009
March 06, 2009, 06:00:40 am
Thanks to the invitation from Joomla! and their kind sharing of the precious student slots, CiviCRM was able to participate in last year’s Google Summer of Code, with the GSoC project adding multilingual support to CiviCRM.

We hope to participate in the Google Summer of Code again this year. If we are accepted, personal applications begin on March 23rd, but we would very much like to hear from interested students before – please reply/discuss in this topic if interested (and make sure to read the GSoC FAQ first). We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop as things progress.
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.

Hi,

Will it be through Joomla again or directly ?
Do you have already a list of projects/domains you would like to see addressed by the students ?

We’re still waiting for Joomla!’s reply. We can’t go directly this year, as the application period ended on Friday.

Not yet, but we’ll come up with such a list this week.
