missing email activity

Hi,

Don't have the enveloppe icon on the contact (email activity). Is there something I need to configure somewhere ?

hi xavier,

There are three factors, depend on which we decide to show / hide email activity icon
1. Valid Outbound Mail settings. ( go to Administer CiviCRM -> Global Settings -> Settings - Outbound Mail )
2. Contact does not have privacy option 'Do not email' set.
3. Contact is not deceased.

Hi,

It was the outbound indeed, thanks.

On the previous versions, it was sendmail by default. Assuming that the majority of civicrm is installed on linux, might be better to keep it the default ?
