Change log section missing from Advanced Search
July 23, 2007, 09:19:29 am
Hi, Folks -- I'm not a programmer, but I am responsible fo assuring the data in our civiCrm dB matches that in our clients dB (Access). To assist in this, I routinely run a search for all memebers of a particular group (users) that have been added or updated between specified dates. I was able to do this using the "change Log" date parameters at the bottom of the old advanced search page. Since we upgraded to version 1.7.9821, however, the Change Log, Activity, and the other sections located at the bottom of the  old Advanced Search screen are missing. I really need this capability -- how can I get those search options back??

FYI -- here is the page with the missing options: http://www.compartners.org/civicrm/contact/search/advanced?reset=1

Thanks,
Carol

Hey Clewis,

I actually just upgraded to 1.8 today, and there's a great new section there for just this. So while I actually don't know how to fix for 1.7, if you decide to upgrade to 1.8 (I think I saw that the beta release is supposed to be next week), then you can fix it by going here:

administer civicrm > global settings > site preferences

You can choose the options you want there and bring those back.

Also -- a quick look at the demo and those features are still there...did your resource URLs change upon your upgrade? Did you delete the contents of templates_c? The page you gave doesn't display any of the javascript that should show up below, so it seems like it may be related to that...

You can also try doing the cache reset steps on the upgrade wiki: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=11461
#9

I haven't had to do that for a minor install, but sometimes when there are issues the above will solve it.

There is another posting right now with what looks like the same issue, so you may want to keep an eye on that: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,690.0/topicseen.html

I am CLewis' org's techie. We did the cache reset. It didn't help. There's no clear reason that the Javascript dojos should not be working that we can find on our end. Firebug finds this error:

Quote
Could not load 'dojo.widget.TitlePane'; last tried '__package__.js'
[Break on this error] throw _13||Error(_12);

It looks like the only fix is to upgrade to 1.8. We will wait for the beta (due out today I think?) and then do that, I guess. Thank you emilyf.

It looks like there's a settings file/web server config issue on your site - with URLs being referred to inconsistently. AND I think this may be what's causing the problem w/ dojo widgets.

The error I'm seeing (as well as the <script src=...dojo.js> ) - is referencing the CiviCRM resources (e.g. dojo.js and others) at the following URL: http://compartners.org/sites/default/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo.js

Code: [Select]
Error: Could not load 'dojo.widget.TitlePane'; last tried '__package__.js'
Source File: http://compartners.org/sites/default/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo.js
Line: 96

However, the Advanced Search page linked below uses http://www.compartners.org rather than http://compartners.org. - and if I attempt to navigate to Advanced Search at http://compartners.org - I'm redirected to www....

Which URL is configured as your CiviCRM Resource URL under Admin >> Global Settings ?

Dave, you are rockin' my world because there was a discrepancy with the resource URL--the www was missing for some odd reason (over which I am still puzzled). I fixed it and now all is well.

Thank you!
