CSS - Printer and other icon problems
March 10, 2009, 11:55:14 am
Hello!

(Drupal 6, Civicrm 2.1)

This is a what should be a trivial css issue but I'm unable to fix and starting to get a little bit frustrated.

The printer-friendly icon that appears on most pages is severely resistant to style commands.  I particularly want to give people the option to print out a registration form (via civievent) but the printer-icon seems to either need its own line to itself, or gets overlapped by other divs and refuses to work.

I found the printer-friendly div tag and can add some style changes via my drupal style.css, but nothing seems to sort out the lack of good location problem.

Additionally, the RSS icons and others seem to be somewhat haphazardly scattered around.  The information icon in the message flashes is also problematic -- usually seems to overlap text.

I realize this is about 95% the fault of my theme (civicrm seems to not like fixed-layouts with right-sidebars), but I can't figure out where to change the div order or wrap the icons so I can make them behave properly.

Anyone have any suggestions?

(And yes I am an avid firebug user)

Thanks,
Jen

Just in case anyone else is having a similar problem.

The problem was the img (yes a silly mistake on my part) element in the drupal style sheets and I upgraded to 2.2 which seems to handle icons in a nicer way.

Thanks,
Jen
