directory path and url / advanced search tabs

hey all,

so I am in the process of moving my civicrm installation from our public website to an in-house server, for several reasons including but not limited to security, speed, ease of use, etc.

i'm running into one small problem though...   to get my civimail click-throughs working, i needed to change Administer CiviCRM -> Global Settings -> Update Directory Path and URL to  http://www.myorgname.biz/   so that the click-through url in sent mailings goes to the right place (i have denied all outside access to except to the click-through url directory).  however, i want my users to be able to go to http://intranet to get to our intranet.  but it appears if they access it this through this intranet url, the dojo tabs at the bottom of the advanced search page do not show up.   if i change the url back to http://intranet/ the dojo tabs appear, but the mailings will not work right because they will try to send recipients to http://intranet/sites/all/modules/civic.....and this doesn't work for obvious reasons

it's weird because with the url as http://www.myorgname.biz/ i can see in the source where it links to the required js files, and i can get to those files by going to the url....

any ideas on a compromise to get this to work correctly?
