Quick question, are newsletter verification emails (double opt-in) considered 1 of a block of 10 emails?

As I read it, If I send 3 email, that counts as a block of 10 so I now I have 2990 left. If I send 8 more emails, that counts as another block of 10 so I have 2980 left.

So if verification emails are considered in the blocks of 10, then I can really only have 300 people sign up as each verif. email will take up a 10 email block.

Is this correct?

that's not quite it.

any outgoing email - email sent from your civimail - is added to the total amount for the month for your account.

at the end of the month we look at the total amount of outgoing emails sent to determine how much to charge.

the round up to 10, 15 and 20 is applied to the total.

for example if by the end of the month the total emails sent is 3153 then this will be rounded up to 3160.
