Google Mapping not working correctly

I have configured mapping to use Google Maps and have entered a UK address. Originally I entered the Long/Lat. These did not save, I then just tried viewing the map which showed the whole world (well sort of) and was hovering over the pacific.

Am I missing something here - should this work with UK based addresses ? If so can anyone help .

When I do a bulk import I set the mapping to ON which works fine.

The geo localisation works ok usually. If the country+city is set and the 1st line of address contains the road, it works ok in most of the cases and when you save a contact it automatically adds the long+lat.

(be sure the country is set, cf. my question on the other post).

This is working for the majority of contacts but I am a bit confused why it is not working for all.

As an example I did an import and got the address fields slightly incorrect and it mapped to Google OK, however when I do the correct import it does not map. All the fields are correct and in the right place. What fields are used for mapping for Google Maps ?

I insert the LAT/LON manually onto one of the contacts that did automatically Map and the parameters do not save.

Any thoughts on this - not a major problem but would be really nice to get it working.
