Upgrade from 2.1.4 to 2.2: Table 'civicrm_pcp_block' already exists, 1050

Attempted the upgrade today and received this error when initiating the database upgrade:

Database Error Code: Table 'civicrm_pcp_block' already exists, 1050

I restored the database and retried with the same result.  Suggestions please!

'civicrm_pcp_block' does not exists in a 2.1.x DB

you might want to check this in your original 2.1.x DB. If you do have that table, your DB is not a 2.1.x DB
