Un-taring
March 18, 2009, 03:45:55 pm
I just put on Drupal- in order to load CiviCRM. I got to the un-tar phase and I'm baffled. I FTP'd the tarball to the correct directory (I had to create the directory, but the "readme" said I was in the right place) I use Firezilla to FTP and when I tried to use the tar -xzf it crashes...
Am I supposed to upload the tarball from the Drupal ACP? I couldn't find a way to do that either. I don't have shell access- is there some  easy way to un-zip this mess. Or an alternative location to acquire the files and put them in place?
I scoured this sections and saw no one asking about this so I have to assume I am a lone <idiot> Hah!
Thanks!

Probably you best shot is to untar locally on your machine and upload files.

Thx,

Many file manager (like in cpanel) provide facility to untar, you might want to check on that.
