Error setting up menu item
March 18, 2009, 10:57:33 pm
With the help of my hosting provider, we tackled the upgrade install issue by change the database from localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock to s467.sureserver.com:3307.  But now Joomla doesn't seem to recognize the exisitence of my Contribution Pages.  Setting up a Menu Item, I can select the type as "CiviCRM Contribution Pages", but the Parameters (Basic) shows:

Code: [Select]
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/hispanic/www/www/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 68

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/hispanic/www/www/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 68

Under that, the Contribution Page pull-down menu is empty, though I have 2 contribution pages set up.  Does this have to do with the change of the database name above?  The reason for the 2 lines may be that I have two languages set up, even though Spanish is not working properly.

You get this error when you have Joomla and CiviCRM in 2 separate db's. For now I guess only solution is to have CiviCRM and Joomla in same db.

Kurund,

I checked everything and there is only one db.  While this was my initial thought, that is not causing it.  Somehow in the upgrade, something went awry as I used to be able to at least give it an item number and create the button.  Now I cannot define anything or select it.

Code: [Select]
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/hispanic/www/www/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 68

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/hispanic/www/www/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 68

I find this error code on other forums unrelated to CiviCRM, but no-one has been able to determine what it is.

I really want to use and promote CiviCRM but I can't do so until I can get one viable site working.

Anyone's help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matthew

Matthew,

Can you try -
COPY (overwrite if needed) "joomla/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/joomla/site/views" directory INSIDE "joomla/components/com_civicrm/" directory.
and check if that makes any difference ?

Deepak,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it made no difference.

I am open to other suggestions, though the light is rapidly dimming on this project.   :'(

It might be possible for you to try - as lobo suggested here - http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,7297.msg32227.html#msg32227, since problem in both the cases appears to be same.
