LAST CALL for CiviCRM as National Priorites Project's CRM and Donation software
July 24, 2007, 12:33:22 pm
Well Monday is the day 8/1/2007 that we make a decision to move onto SalesForce (free for non-profits) or CiviCRM truly free for everyone.
And there is only one reason we would choose Salesforce.  I have not gotten ANY phone numbers of people we can call to so that the Fundraising staff in our office can get a sense of what other users of CiviCRM think about it.  Users who handle donations.
I would like to use CiviCRM since it is something I think will work out better for us in numerous ways more then Salesforce, BUT the above is the one reason why we may go with Salesforce instead.
All we need is Two to Three places to let us call and ask basic quesitons like
"How well is it going for you in tracking donations?"
"how many Contributors do you track?"0
"What do you think of the user's interface?"
I am working with some people at Civicaction to help with this but I want to put this out to the community again since I can only wait so much longer.
Yes I know there is a list of orgs using this as seen the areas of CiviCRM that list orgs using CiviCRM.  But I did not have much luck finding anyone who knew what I was talking about or they where not using it for fundraising.
Well here is my contact info if needed

Several good replies.  Now the Fundraising/Development department is going to call or email them (actually he did on Friday and I will be in on Monday)
Plus I mentioned that there is a list on the site or testimonies and if you could find emails in that list it may help as well, though this is not easy since emailing organizations and finding the right person to talk to is hard.
Overall I am hoping that the 3-5 we received will work out.
The key was they needed to be using CiviCRM to track donations.
