I recently upgrade from CiviCRM 1.7 to 2.2.  In 1.7 there was a feature that showed the total contribution amount of your search/find contributions query.  I can't seem to find that feature in 2.2.  Is it gone?  Does anyone have or know of an equivalent feature in CiviContribute?  If it is gone, how do I go about requesting that it be added back in for future versions of CiviCRM?

I don't have a working 1.7 install, does anyone else have one?

Once a week we enter a series of manual contributions.  The person who enters these contributions (for the past year or two) has used CiviCRM 1.7 to automatically calculate the total amount on any given day using these instructions:

Click on "CiviContribute"
Click "Find Contributions"
Change the "From" date to June 29th (or whatever day you want to
check) and click search.
(You can also change the "To" date, but for june 29th you won't have
to because it was the last day of deposits).


I sent these instructions on June 29th, 2007.  If anyone has a working 1.7 install I can attempt to get a screen shot from them, just let me know.  Is there any chance that we can use an old civicrm.org demo 1.7 install?

I can do the work and submit a patch for the feature to be added back once we figure out how to go about it.

Hey lobo and prickeke. Believe it or not, we have a 1.7 installation! It was a snapshot of a client we upgraded.  And I just realized that this feature is no longer in CiviCRM as well.

Here is screenshot of exactly what prickeke is talking about. We should definitely work to get this back into CiviCRM and I don't think it should be done solely from a custom search.

Is this different to what you get if you click on 'view details' against the 'cumulative' row at civicontribute? If not, it is only one click away And is available for the 'presets' of
month to date
year to date
cumulative

Looks like it was still there in 2.0 - hence my obscure comment
