Joomla menu issues
March 20, 2009, 11:28:26 am
Joomla 1.5.9 CiviCRM 2.1

I am following instructions here:http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Configuring+Front-end+Profile+Listings+and+Forms+in+Joomla%21+Sites

However there are no menu parameters showing in Joomla - i attach an image circled. I was expecting a drop down here with something from CiviCRM.

Is there something missing from my installation?

cheers

The 2.2 demo has the issue since we "hacked" the 2.2 demo to have civicrm in a seperate database. The frontend db queries require joomla and civicrm to be in the same db

Ah that makes sense - saw that mentioned eleswhere.

But i still dont get the sub menu options when clicking 'Civicrm' - in the demo some sub option some sub options are displayed , eg event, contribute BEFORE it goes to the actual parametr screen. My install just goes straight to the parameter screen without choosing type of CiviCRM link.

Do I need to upgrade to 2.2?

Currently we are using it for events only.

cheers
