Database error after upgrade to 2.2 Unknown column 'skipBreadcrumb' in 'field li
March 21, 2009, 01:07:31 am
I am upgrading a production Drupal 6.10 site from CiviCRM 2.1.4 to 2.2.0 and am getting the above error.  I have researched to the extent possible and find that the language should be en_US (which it is) and the DB has not updated and I should run it manually.

I cannot find out how to run it manually.  Could someone point me in thr right direction so that I can run the correct script to update the database.

BTW when I run the upgrade it states that it has completed successfully but I do not see an Upgrade Now button.  It just goes straight to apparent completion.

Help appreciated

Kind Regards
Martin Fuggle

The suggested fix does not work for me so I am once again reverting to version 2.16.  I have made the change to line 131 in Upgrade.php as set out in the relevant posts and run the script against a 2.16 database.  I still get the following messages

          Upgrade CiviCRM to Version 2.2.0
          CiviCRM uograde was successful
          Return to CiviCRM home page

When I click on the "Return to CiviCRM home page" link I still get the following error message:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

'navigation': Could not find access_callback in path tree, Could not find access_arguments in path   tree, Could not find page_callback in path tree, Could not find page_arguments in path tree, Could not find is_ssl in path tree

DB Error: no such field

Database Error Code: Unknown column 'skipBreadcrumb' in 'field list', 1054

I am using Drupal 6.10, php 5.2.8, MySQL 5.0.67-community and the Drupal theme that I am using is LightJazz.  I want to use the the new custom field facilities but I guess it will have to wait since I think this production site seems to want to stay on 2.16!

Any other help appreciated.

That won't help since the db hasn't actually upgraded.

I am pretty sure that the problem is same/similar, since you already mentioned and is apparent that you don't see any upgrade button. Not sure why the fix is not working.

I would recommend to wait for v2.2.1 (expected in next week) as it anyway going to have the fix.

Version 2.2.1 does not solve this problem - the problem exists as it did in the upgrade to 2.2.0.

Would be good to get this sorted out.

Have you tried running the DB tools integrity checker against your database?  It might turn up something and certainly won't hurt.

I have been away for a while and am still trying to upgrade from CiviCRM 2.1.6 to the latest version being 2.2.5.  My system is now running Drupal 6.12 so things have moved on a bit.  Nevertheless I have spent more than enough time trying to upgrade CiviCRM and am unable to do so.  The error I am getting remains the same as reported.  I am not comfortable running the DB Tools.  I have a production site and I just want to get to the latest version.

If someone can help me I can upload the database.

Getting a little frustrated....

1. you should always try an upgrade on a copy of the system and not production

2. run db tools against the copy of the system.

Hi Folks,

I have created a test/development copy of the producton site on a local system and have run the DB Tools against the database.  The integrity check showed 50 errors and the repair script was then run successfully.  I then ran the integrity check on the repaired database and it revealed six errors which were not corrected by a further execution of the repair script.

The six errors are shown below:

Quote
E:\Software\Drupal\CiviCRM\civicrm_dbtools-1.1.4>c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-2\php
civicrm_db_integrity.php -u root -h localhost pobfsjv_civicrm

Oops, in civicrm_option_value, option_group_id 77 value 75 has multiple
definitions. Labels are: 'Player (Junior)' 'Junior Parent'
6 problems found in database pobfsjv_civicrm

I then removed the civicrm 2.1.6 version from the Drupal sites/all/modules directory and replaced it with the 2.2.6 version of CiviCRM.  I ran the upgrade script (http://mysite/civicrm/upgrade?reset=1) and continue to have the same error that has been reported from the start of this post.  The version of CiviCRM is shown as 2.1.4 in the attached but when I go into Administration menu it states that there is a new version and that the current version is 2.1.6.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'll send a copy of the database as it is curently in the production environment.  That is at version 2.1.6 and before running the DB Tools repair script.

Cheers
