Creating new contact that is a 'matching contact' and workflow from there
March 30, 2009, 03:38:36 pm
Hi - so I create an organisation = fuzion

then i create a new organisation = fuzion

system says

"Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:

    * One matching contact was found. You can edit it here: Fuzion, or click Save Matching Contact button below.

If I click on Edit, it opens the existing record in the same tab that I was working in. Let's say I change the name of first to Fusion (with an 's') and hit save, the old record is amended and saved.

But where is the record I had been creating for the new 'fuzion'? I may be able to get back to it by using the back button to get me to the right screen - but seems inherently risky.

Can I suggest some tweaks.

1/ Change the error/pink message to say something along these lines
"Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:

    * One contact was found with similar details <show name of matching contact>. You can click on it to edit it if you want to make changes to that record before saving this new one (will open in new Tag) or click Save Matching Contact button below if you want to keep both records.

2/ Make the 'edit it here' open in a new tab.
