adding profile fields to advanced search

I have added some new profile fields and now I would like to make a smart group with some of those fields so new contacts are automatically added to the group.  However, when I go to do an advanced search, I cannot select individual profile fields but rather can only select the entire profile from the Search View drop down menu. 

Is there a way to get the individual fields to be individually selected so I can make a smart group with that criteria?

Hmm - Sounds like you are mixing two "concepts". A profile field is just a "pointer" to either an core (out-of-the-box) field OR to a custom field that you've added. If the fields you want to use for your Smart Group are custom fields - then just make sure they are marked Searchable. Then select / enter values for them in the "Custom Fields" section of the Advanced Search form.

The "Search View" drop-down has a different purpose. It allows you to select a set of fields (defined by a profile) which will  replace the columns which are used by default in the search results listing.
