A few basic questions
April 01, 2009, 08:01:56 pm
Hi, I'm looking for a little help setting up the site for my specs.

1) I can't figure out how to create a profile form that includes a "Username & Password" field. When I first installed CiviCRM on Joomla there was a default profile that had those fields. I deleted that profile because I figured I could add those fields to another profile. But I'm stuck trying to add it to a another profile. The only Profile form I have created lists only: "Profile" & "Search Results" under the Used For option for the Profile Settings. Am I missing something?

How exactly do I override the Joomla login form to replace it with a custom one I have already created with Civi? I've read about "registration profile forms" being used in other posts but I don't see an option anywhere to set a form as a "registration" form.

2) Also, is there a language file or someway that I can rename the "Dashboard" to something else? Been looking for it inside .php files but I can't seem to edit the write line.

Thanks for taking the time to help out a newbie.

1. check: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/bridges/authentication-bridges/5650/details this might be useful to you

2. You can enable the option to "Create a CMS Account" in the profile setting section (click on advanced settings)

3. the easiest way to change Dashboard to something else, is to customize the tpl form
