Any Milwaukee / Wisconsin organizations using CiviCRM?
April 02, 2009, 05:28:20 pm
Hi,

I work for a non-profit organization in the Milwaukee, WI area and I'm looking for area agencies who might be able to share their CiviCRM story with our team which is currently evaluating CiviCRM.

Please contact me via this thread if you can help!

Bump. We are also evaluating CiviCRM and looking for local referrals in the Madison\Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

Thanks in advance and please post in this thread.

Hi,

I thought I'd point out that our evaluation is going stellar. We have installed CiviCRM and are doing some configuring / testing now. It was wicked easy to install with Drupal. (create database, add user with privs, upload, run installer) I had previously been using Joomla and after using Drupal I have fallen madly in love with it. What a fantastic CMS!

The only issue I had with installation was the fact that my webserver was running Ubuntu 6.06.1 which tops out at PHP 5.1.x so I had to set up a new one, but no biggie - we have a VMWare host that had room for it.

So far it seems insanely easy to use, customize, and so forth. The only thing I don't like is the lack of reports, but we can manage. Also setting up de-duplication filters took some practice but once configured they work well.

Good luck with your evaluation!

Good progress is being made on this in 2.3. We've previewed some reports at penguin day / nten and seems like a step in the right direction :)

Hi, We have a client in WI that also wants to evaluate CiviCRM.  If anyone in WI has started using it, they would like a reference.  Please contact me if you would like to participate.  This could be a great way to build a user community for CiviCRM in the Madison/Milwaukee area.  We could also look at having a WI-themed meetup at the Chicago CiviCon.

I look forward to hearing from you.
