Is there a tar.gz file for the full (server side) version of 2.2.2 stable? If so, what is the name? Thank you.

By the way, the reason that I ask is that the only tar.gz file I can find to download will not install on my ISP-based Joomla installation (1.5.10).

the joomla install is a .zip file and not .tar.gz

you might want to read the install instructions on the wiki

I have read the instructions on the wiki. Many times. They do not cover my problem.

By the way, just for fun I installed civiCRM under Drupal. It went 1-2-3 snap and done. No problems at all.

Why can't there be a tar.gz version of the Joomla! install?
