importing participants - bug or have things changed
April 12, 2009, 03:13:13 pm
Hi - was surprised to find no 'Contact ID' or Name/email to do a match on when I just tried to import on 2.2 inc demo. See image for the only fields I am seeing. Something I am missing?

You must have selected On Duplicate Entries - Update mode while import.

Looks like it = twice on different systems. So thought maybe I should have read HELP first, but not sure this message would have convinced me "If you check the "Update" option, you can INSERT new participant records" - I would interpret 'insert' as meaning I could create new participant records and would therefore have to be able to match them to a contact via Contact ID etc.

That's right, will fix the misleading help message.

Thanks for catching this.
