Joomla 1.0.15 and civicrm

What is the latest version of Civicrm to use with Joomla 1.0.15? i have to use this old version because of custom scripts.

OK well i loaded version 2.0 and it seems to have worked. I loaded a few users, now can some please show me how to use and setup the joomla site so I can see some events or pages for members. geeze this program is big. I just want to have a membership area where people can join and pay dues and list events.

This is for Event , same is apply for Contribution/Membership
