Import CSV errs out.

New problem I'm having with 2.2.2

I'm importing about 6175 records with only email, first name, last name.  I get this error:
We encountered an unknown error in setError: Error: Unable to load /drupal61/civicrm/import/contact status:500

This occurs 1250 records in.

Bit strange since recently I imported lots of contacts without any error. What is your de-dupe rule ? What is your import mode? Can you replicate it on demo.

I am running into this same problem. I tried changing my PHP resource limits higher and now I am getting the whitescreen of death.
