customer fields - 2.2.2
April 17, 2009, 10:03:48 am
I am on joomla 1.5 and just upgraded from 2.2.1 -> 2.2.2.  Now when I go to look at contacts and select edit, I don't see my custom fields listed like I use to.   I switched to setup from inline to tabs to see if that made a difference.  When I did that, I could see the custom fields, but when I tried to edit them, the page refreshed and nothing displayed?

Help would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know if I can provide you with more detailed information.

On my tabs for custom data I'm just seeing "edit" but no fields. ANd if i edit, it is blank.

That sounds like what I am seeing as well.  I would think when you select edit you should see all the fields in the group and be allowed to edit them.  In the previous release, when I had inline selected, I would see a section listed for this group and could edit the fields when I was editing other contact information.

Well, I seem to have somehow fixed it. I did two things.

1. I recopied all of the files.

2. I opened all of the custom groups and saved them again.

I'm not sure which one did it, but now i can see the fields.

Yes you should. I'm wondering if this is a template caching issue. Try enabling debugging on your site (temporarily) following the instructions here, and running directoryCleanup=1 - to reset the templates cache:
