setting up payment processing
April 19, 2009, 02:20:48 pm
I am configuring a new installation of v2.2.2 and have never done this before. I have a couple of events already setup and my hosting company activated my ssl certificate.  But I am unable to complete the payment processing setup to take online payments.

When I turn on "force secure urls" in CiviCRM and try to visit my registration pages I get the following error...

unrecoverable error
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

HTTPS is not set up on this machine

    Return to home page.

To add to that, each time I go to the payment processors page and select authorize.net, the system sends me back to the global checklist page that I came from. It is doing this for all of the selections, so I cannot set up paypal either.

Please let me know what step I am missing or how I can get this working.

Thanks

Vickie

1. does going to your site directly via https work?

2. are the urls for the http site and https site exactly the same (except for the https part?)

3. can u go to the event registration page directly via https

can you debug:

CRM/Utils/System.php, function redirectToSSL

we print the error message in that function. We make an https call (to civicrm/dashboard) there to check SSL is enabled on the machine

I've seen this sort of thing a few times on the forums. I can't think of a reason at this stage why a local call would fail and a remote browser would work
