Documenation Status
April 24, 2009, 05:15:57 pm
I'm wondering what's going on with the wiki.  As I've been working on building a REST API library the last few days I've been digging through more parts of the documentation than I have for a while, and I noticed several broken links on pages that used to be fine.  I fixed them where I could, but the current strategy for linking together the wiki wasn't clear to me.  I noticed there seemed to be parts that where for 2.1 and others that just had CRM in the URL.  Are there two copies at the moment?  Have a missed something about updates that would make this obvious to me?  I'm willing to help pull things together when I find problems, but I am just not sure about the right way to do that.

can you give us a page where the links are still broken

the docs are now versioned and we moved things around, things might be broken unintentionally

I fixed what I found.  They were links on the pages about the REST API, which did not appear (at least to me) to be versioned, but I changed the links to connect to the versioned copy.

Hmm - Aaron can you hookup with Michal Mach to discuss this (he's "in charge" of the wiki versioning scheme). Basically the plan is:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/* "space" - always contains all CURRENT version doc pages
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC21/* "space" - is the last version

The current "space" is deprecated to CRMDOCvv when new release happens.

Seems like your REST stuff should be under this section if it's valid for 2.2:
