Custom Data not available for Profiles
July 29, 2007, 06:29:35 pm
I have two custom groups with two fields each. One for alumni data has two fields: graduation year and maiden name.

One group extends organizations, the other individuals.

I am not presented with any custom fields when attempting to add fields to a profile. Furthermore, I changed one of the groups from inline to tab and back again. Now I no longer see the group when editing/viewing a contact. I do see the custom fields in the Advanced Search. The custom fields are not presented for exports.

I'm running CiviCRM 1.7.9821.

Is this an issue with CiviCRM logic or a broken data link somewhere?

Thanks

1. Can you please replicate this on http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/

2. Give us the urls along with a description of what you expect to see and whats there on the page

Works as expected at demo site. Is 1.8 stable enough for "production"?

Depends on who you ask and your definition of production :)

We think the php5 version is in pretty good shape. The schema is frozen, so all future updates will be code / template updates only (and hence relatively easier for drupal users). We plan on making this the default download for ALL users in a week or two from now. In general the community has found a few more issues when we do make it the default (but such is the nature of open source projects)

OK, thanks. I'll move forward tomorrow and hope the issues disappear.

I found the source of my problems. The Drupal access permissons for view all custom data was not turned on.

Thanks for the help.
