URL changes to local network
April 25, 2009, 05:05:37 am
I have installed on our office network server (apache) and have setup a remote access via DYNDNS. After logging in and say going to Find Contacts, I do a search (I have the example data installed - I'm doing a civiCase project) and come up with a list of contacts OK. If I then click to view one of the contacts the URL in the address bar changes to 192.168...... instead of <mydydnsname>.dyndns.org. Hovering ove the contacts name reveals to correct URL.

Does anyone know what configuration needs correcting?

Hm, that does not mean too much to me, especially as the system partly works as I've indicated above. Without wanting to risk doing the wrong thing these instructions seem to suggest I do some sort of reset when connected via the external source.

The setting file contains:
* Site URLs:
 *
 * This section defines absolute and relative URLs to access the host CMS (Drupal or Joomla) resources...

define( 'CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL'      , 'http://192.168.x.x/clients/' );
(x replaced with relevant values)

Is this the area that needs changing or adding to?

I do not wish to prvent access to the site from the local network (as this is the main access path) and would not be expecting to access it this way via the internet. Some further advice would be appreciated.
