Drip campaigns

Drip Campaigns are essentially a series of events (a campaign) scheduled for a contact in the system with built in triggers to branch the series, shut it down, or assign another campaign.  For nonprofits these work especially well to turn new prospects into new donors and for soliciting donors during an annual campaign.

I am surprised by how few CRM applications have this capability ~ it would be especially cool for CiviCRM to get the drop on the commercial apps by adding this feature.

I'm not a programmer, but I can imagine this is not a simple job to build!  But it is a very cool feature that most organizations should use because it takes advantage of automation to ensure messages get to prospects in the right format and at the right time.

Here's another post I found on the topic. http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,4043.0.html

Thanks for listening :)
